COMMENT'S BOARD FROM THE SEMINAR:

Dear Margarette

Just a brief note to thank all the Officers and Committee for their efforts in organising yesterday's event. Normally, I'd write a letter but as you know, there is no mail in Liverpool as we are still suffering from the postal strike here! I enjoyed both your speakers yesterday.  I've heard Frank speak many times and always find him interesting with something new to say.  I obviously know both Brian and Kath but have never heard him give a formal talk before and I thought he was excellent and really spoke from the heart.

Special thanks to those who provided the lovely lunch and a big thank you to all the Rottweiler owners who shared their dogs with us in the afternoon session.

Sincerely

Tom Mather

COMMENT'S BOARD FROM THE SEMINAR:

Hello  Margarette,

Thankyou so much for informing me that I have passed your judging seminar --  putting me out of my misery waiting for results.!!!.,   I am delighted to have passed.
I would also like to thankyou for a very enjoyable and informative day,  and also a special thanks for the  welcome  cup of tea and bacon sandwich as we walked in the door,   after a long journey and a very cold morning it was much appreciated and set the scene for a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
It was obvious that your Club worked  very hard to make this a successful day for the candidates and you certainly succeeded,  thankyou.

Regards

Sue  Searle

COMMENT'S BOARD FROM THE SEMINAR:

Hello Margarette,

Thank you for emailing me that I have passed the NOERC Breed Specific Seminar.  I'm so pleased with the result with this being my first seminar.  I've been sitting by the letterbox all week and now you have brought me out of my misery.   I enjoyed my day at the seminar, learned loads and the speakers Brian Hindley and Frank Kane were excellent and very informative. "must look out for Frank Kane's new book at Crufts, excuse the plug I couldn't resist LOL"

We got a warm welcome from all the committee of the NOERC on arrival and not to mention a bacon butty in one hand and a cup of tea in the other EXCELLENT!! Great way to start the day.
Looking forward to any future seminars your going to hold.

Keep up the good work

Kindest regards
Sarah

COMMENT'S BOARD FROM THE SEMINAR:

Hi Margarette

I thought the seminar was good but a little rushed. From my experience of attending other breed seminars and being involved in organising seminars for Bullmastiffs I hope that these observations may be of help. I do not think there is any need to have the talk and examination on conformation as this is the subject of a separate KC seminar. Explaining the conformation and movement of the particular breed is of course important. Feed back from the assessors to an individual is also very helpful. From an all-rounders perspective it would be helpful if the lecturer could have a good specimen of the breed to use that they are not afraid to make slight comments about without the owner being offended. I know this is difficult and getting people to bring dogs to a seminar is a thankless task. Also the use of young dogs in the hands-on part of the seminar should be avoided if possible.

These observations are not criticisms of the day. I found it enjoyable and very informative. There was a friendly atmoshere and the food was excellent. Please pass on my thanks to all who were involved.

Regards

Barry Blunden

COMMENT'S BOARD FROM THE SEMINAR:

Dear Margarette and Committee,

Just a brief word to say many thanks for the opportunity to listen to and learn from both Brian and Frank; Brian's passion for the breed was so clear to see and I was very interested to hear from one of the most experienced people in the breed. I'm very pleased to have passed the seminar and look forward to any other such events put on by the NOERC in the future. No doubt I will be seeing you all at the forthcoming shows.

Many Thanks,
Sam Dean.
